Accountants are the officials who are responsible for the financial and as well non financial Reports of the accounts of the organization to the Accounting Manager. Also responsible for all transactions required to plant funds and meeting Governmental Accounting Standard Board requirement.
Accountants help to make sure that the Nation's firms are running efficiently, its public records kept accurately, and its taxes paid properly and on time. Accountants perform these vital functions by offering an increasingly wide array of business and accounting services to their patrons.
Roughly about 1 in 10 accountants are self-employed, with a large number are licensed Certified Public Accountants (CPAs). Public accountants perform a broad range of accounting, auditing, tax, and consulting activities for their clients, who may be corporations, governments, nonprofit organizations, or individuals. Public accountants, many of whom are Certified Public Accountants (CPAs), generally have their own businesses or work for public accounting firms. CPA's are required to have at least a bachelor's degree, as well as be certified by the state they are employed in.
Some duties and responsibilities of accountants are the following. Other related duties may be assigned as per organizations.
1. Maintains and updates financial activity reports for the organization.
2. Prepares and calculates entries of capitalization
3. Assist internal and external auditors
4. Prepares tax return
5. Works as research assistance to Accounting manager and other
6. department staff as required.
7. Conducts Year End Closing entries
8. Assists on financial issues
Company's money kept track of Accountants. The company's managers and people outside the company read their reports. Managers look at the accountants' reports to see how well their companies are doing. Governments use the reports to tell how much tax a company should pay. Some people read them to decide if they want to do business with the company. Others use them to decide if they want to lend money to the company or not.
